Gardena Soil Moisture Sensor

The Soil Moisture Sensor by Gardena allows for automatic irrigation set to the moisture that you want. If the ground is moist enough, the sensor will keep it from being watered, saving water and your garden. For use in conjunction with the irrigation computers MasterControl solar, Master Control and Multi Control. With these computers even purely sensor-controlled irrigation is possible. The Soil Moisture Sensor can be simply plugged into the ground. It electronically measures the temperature of the soil and is durable and reliable. The desired humidity level can be set via a rotary knob. The current soil moisture can also be read. The Soil Moisture Sensor is supplied with 5 m cable. To operate, it requires two 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included). These provide reliable measurement results for about a year. When they start to get low, a low battery condition is indicated.
