Woman’s ground breaker spade

I ordered this for my 75 year old gardening mad Mum in law. She had a very large rural garden but after her husband died in 2018 she decided to sell her beloved bungalow and downsize to be closer to the family so we could help her more. The new place is smaller and on a nice estate but the soil was as expected with housing estates blinking awful with no nutrients and had been unloved for sometime. She Is very independent and was struggling to dig the garden, it was very hard, heavy and clay based.
I told her about this spade as I have one myself and I know how easy to handle, lightweight and good for digging It is so I recommended for her to have one. They are a very reasonable price for such a fabulous little spade. She is delighted with it and now wishes she’d had one sooner. I plan to buy her some other Burgon and Ball Items for her birthday in September. She loves Burgon and Ball Now and so do I. It’s a shame she hadn’t found one sooner but her late husband was not one for spending and insisted that she had tools and they were adequate. He didn’t garden at all.
Fantastic spade, great price, prompt delivery and very well packaged. We love it.
