TROPICA Lipstick Tree
This beautiful shrub grows about 2 metres high and is often used as an ornamental plant. Since it produces non-toxic dyes (E16 [b]) it is valuable for cosmetics. The red dye is used to make lipsticks and to dye different foods. The large, heart-shaped leaves and the upright tufts of small pink-like flowers are very pretty. Particularly striking are the almond-shaped fruits that are densely covered with red bristles.
