Metro Huerto "Balcony" Plant Bag

This plant bag was specially developed for use on balconies and is the ideal solution for making use of the limited space available. Special loops make it easy to attach supports and climbing aids so that you can plant tomatoes, courgettes and beans in addition to herbs, root vegetables and salads. Even small fruit trees can be planted in these bags.

How to use:

1. Assemble the planter bag according to the instructions on the label.
2. Fill the bag with a high-quality substrate - we recommend coconut fibre and earthworm castings in a ratio of 60:40.
3. Plant the vegetables of your choice.

When is it time to harvest?

Leafy vegetables: You can start harvesting a month after transplanting seedlings. We recommend harvesting only the outer leaves and leaving at least 30% of the plant intact. This way the plant can regenerate again and again and you can continue harvesting periodically.

Root vegetables: Radishes and carrots are ready for harvesting from a diameter of around 5 cm, beets from a diameter of 10 to 15 cm.

Herbs: Whole branches should be cut off for a continuous harvest.
