This set contains a range of plants that are familiar around the world and available in nearly every supermarket but native to the tropics. These tropical plants need warmth and therefore cannot cope with cold winters. As a houseplant or in a greenhouse, they thrive and even produce small yields.

The set contains the following 5 tropical varieties:

• Mountain Coffee (Coffea arabica)
  The globally popular Arabica coffee is considered the finest type of coffee.
• Tea (Camellia sinensis)
  The leaves from this shrub can be processed into various types of tea.
• Rice 'Arborio Bianco' (Oryza sativa)
  A variety adapted to the European climate and grows in Europe without any problems
• Passion Fruit (Passiflora edulis)
  A creeper with gorgeous flowers and delicious fruit
• Darjeeling banana (Musa sikkimensis)
  This robust variety even thrives outdoors.

Tip: As these are tropical plants, the conditions during sowing must be adapted accordingly. We therefore recommend a mini-greenhouse that ensures high temperatures and humidity.
