Samen Maier Organic Cucumber "Tanja" - Field Cucumbers

This very robust, non-bitter outdoor cucumber is perfect for fresh summer salads. It prefers loose, humus-rich soil and a sunny location and should not be pricked out (transplanted while still tiny) or sown too early in pots. It is best to plant them out after the last frost, after it has grown two true leaves.

Tip: When the plant has three to four leaves, gently earth it up, and pinch out the main shoot after the fifth leaf. This encourages strong, fruit-bearing vines and promotes the growth of numerous productive side shoots. Water in the morning using water that has been left to stand, i.e., water at ambient temperature.
