Saflax Eyebright

Eyebright has been used since the Middle Ages. With its yellow-purple patterned, white flowers, which appear from June to September, it's a very decorative plant. Its flat capsule fruits are harvested from mid-October.

• Eyebright is found throughout the northern hemisphere.

Our tips:

• As a parasitic plant, eyebright depends on other plants - especially grasses - and can therefore be incorporated very well into existing grassy areas
• Loosen up the sowing areas and work the seeds mixed with sand in a ratio of 1:2 into the soil
• Light germinator - do not cover the seed with soil, just press it down lightly
• Cold germinator
• Fertilisation not recommended - also avoid in the immediate vicinity
• Annual to perennial
