Description
This variety of lotus enchants with its striking blue petals and heady fragrance. As it is native to Egypt, it is not winter hardy and should be kept frost-free in winter.
Tips for growing:
- Sprinkle the seeds onto moist, sieved potting compost
- Cover with a fine layer of gravel.
- Place the seedling pot in a water-filled container.
- The water layer should cover the planter by approx. 1 cm.
- Place in a warm place at 20-25 ºC.
- After about 6 weeks, the seedlings can be gently transplanted.
- Do not plant too deep to encourage heavy flowering
- Plant outdoors in plant baskets in late spring.
