This pH test makes it easy to know how much lime your soil contains. As lime neutralizes the acidity of the soil and creates good conditions for growing. A weak acidic soil (pH 6-7) promotes the soil metabolism and thus improves plant nutrition. However, an excess of lime can reduce the availability of phosphate and trace elements for the plants.
