Kiepenkerl Wild Garlic "Forest Garlic"

Wild garlic grows wildly, like the name suggests. The plant can easily spread around your garden under the right conditions. It likes a shady, damp place. Top chefs and gourmets rave about wild garlic's flavour as the leaves are only found in the spring time. For this reason, wild garlic is often used in spring delicacies. The tender green leaves smell like garlic and have an intense garlic tastes, but due to their chlorophyll content, the smell quickly dissipates. They taste wonderful in soups and salads. The plants flower in May and do not last much longer after.
