Kiepenkerl Pak Choi "Joi Choi"
Brassica rapa ssp. Chinensis

Description
These delicate vegetables are similar in many ways to the closely related Chinese cabbage. The tall, round heads have pure white, bubbly thickened stems. They can be freshly prepared as a crunchy salad or can be cooked like chard. The vitamin-rich, but low-calorie vegetables have a mildly spicy flavour and contain plenty of fibre and appetizing juices. The 'Joi Choi' variety is particularly bolt resistant and insensitive to changing weather conditions. Plant after harvesting peas, salads or kohlrabi. The fast-growing heads can be harvested about 60 days after planting in autumn.
