This traditional, creeping variety grows cream coloured squash with a lot of flesh and a small seed core area at the end. The melt in your mouth squash has a delicate flavour that goes great with soups, pate, or veggie dishes. It can also be deep fried like sweet potato chips.
Planting: plant outdoors at the end of April / beginning of May. It is recommended to let the seeds soak in water overnight before planting.
The seeds can be planted in a cold frame, at best in a sunny spot. Do not keep too moist during germination. Plant outside at the end of May, with 1 plant per 2 m². After the last frost, the plants can be planted outdoors, with 3 seeds per hole. Thin out later to choose the strongest plants.
- Before the frost, when the foliage has withered. Store at 10-15 ° C in a dry place. The squash does not keep too long in storage.
