Delighted with the short spade! So delighted I bought a second one for my son . Really helps as I suffer damaged shoulders and find using normal trowel or spade difficult, this uses a completely different technique and causes less strain and pain. Great design.

I first saw this used by Adam Frost and wondered what this shortened spade was. After research, I found it to be a Perennial Spade - and what a useful piece of kit this is! I am short - so this has so many uses for me, I am so happy to have found it. The price is also competitive - it is really well made and I'm sure will last me many years.
