Description
The peanut is originally native to the Andes in South America, but also grows well in Europe. The herbaceous plant can grow up to 80 centimetres tall and is self-pollinating. Peanuts ripen from July to September. After harvesting, roast the peanuts in a pan to make them last longer.
Tips for cultivation:
- Soak seeds in water for 12 hours
- Then place approx. 1 cm deep in moist potting soil
- Cover with cling film and poke holes in it
- Remove the film for approx. 2 hours every two to three days
- Keep the substrate moist but not wet
