Saflax Mexican Nana Mint

Whether as a culinary herb to add flavour to dishes or as a tea, Nana Mint delights the palate with its distinctive fresh aroma. It is a great addition to any herb garden.

Our tips:

• Light germinator - do not cover the seeds with soil when sowing, but only press them down lightly
• Cover the cultivation container with cling film and provide air holes to protect the soil from drying out
• Remove the film every two to three days for about two hours to prevent mould formation
• Place the cultivation container in a bright and warm place at 20 to 25°C
• Keep the soil surface moist but not wet
• Prick out when the first pairs of leaves have formed
• Planting outdoors is possible after the Ice Saints
• Suitable for pots, tubs, and outdoors
• Root barrier recommended
• For optimal flavour, allow the soil to dry slightly but not completely
• Do not fertilise
• Propagation possible by division and via runners and cuttings
• Harvest complete stems
• To dry, tie several shoots together and hang them upside down in an airy, warm, and dark place
• Store dried leaves in a sealable container
• Cut back the plant before the onset of winter and cover the root area
