Description
Genuine Korean ginseng is considered the most valuable medicinal plant in Chinese Traditional Medicine. It can be kept as a houseplant or planted outdoors. Protected under a thick layer of mulch, the plant is quite hardy. However, if you want to harvest the roots, you should wait four to six years.
Tips for growing:
- Scatter the seeds over moist soil in a pot at around 20 ºC
- Do not cover and keep the soil moist but not wet
- The cooling period begins after two to four weeks
- During time, keep the ambient temperature around 5 °C for two to four weeks
- Germination will begin after the cooling period
