Saflax Bonsai - Tamarind

Interesting Facts

• Originally, the tamarind tree is native to East Africa, but is now widespread across the tropical and subtropical regions of South and East Asia.

Our Tips:

• Soak seeds in room-warm water for 12 hours before sowing to improve germination
• Cover cultivation containers with film and provide them with holes so that the soil does not dry out
• Remove the film every two to three days for two hours to prevent mold formation
• Keep the potting soil moist, but not wet
• Ideal germination temperature: 20 to 25°C
• Loves a full sun location - also happy outdoors in summer
• Low water requirement - keep slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging
• Fertilisation with special bonsai fertiliser every three to four weeks from April to October is recommended
• Overwintering in a bright location at about 15°C is recommended
