Description
Minimalistic design, sustainable production and anatomically correct construction. This feeder has been designed to ensure the natural posture of birds when feeding.
The target group
Vertically clinging blue nun, chickadee, nuthatches, finches and woodpeckers.
The perfect menu
Sunflower seeds with shells and untreated peanuts. Millet should not be used, as the above-mentioned bird breeds ignore it. The silo is easily filled from the top.
The perfect cleaning
Simply clean occasionally with soap and water. It is better to refill the feed less often.
The sustainable cycle
The silo and the rope are made of 100% recycled plastic, and the fittings are made of robust stainless steel. The cardboard packaging requires no glue. All parts can be recycled.
The story behind it
The designers Mika & Julie Tolvanen spent several years studying the feeding behaviour of birds using prototypes they built themselves. Whilst enjoying their breakfast, they were able to look out of the window and make crucial observations.

The olive green one was given to me as a gift. It has been in the garden for over a year (please note I have cleaned it as per instructions in that time) however, the 'roof' part has very badly faded in the sun and therefore it does not look good. For the price of this item this really should not happen. Disappointed customer.
