Kiepenkerl Corn Salad "Gala"

'Gala' is a new breed of lettuce with extensive tolerance against downy mildew. It grows well in humid autumn, in cold frames and in greenhouses. Due to its resistance, the lettuce does not need to be sprayed very often.

The plants are hardy with leaves that are easy to harvest. The leaves are round and have a pleasant taste. They are also rich in vitamin-C. Increasingly, corn salad is not only harvested in autumn and winter, but grown all year round. The 'Gala' variety is particularly well-suited for this because it is slow to bolt and still provides high yields outside of its typical harvest time.
