Description
This robust and vigorous variety produces elongated fruits that are prized for their meaty texture - making them the absolute gold standard for cooking down into rich tomato paste and sauces.
Our Tips:
- Hobbyist Special: A unique specialty variety perfect for the home gardener and enthusiast.
- Germination: Maintain a temperature between 20 and 24°C for best results.
- Start seeds indoors:: Start seeds in the brightest, warmest location available indoors.
- Post-Germination: Essential: once sprouted, move plants to a cooler spot to ensure they grow sturdy rather than "leggy."
- Planting Out: Move outdoors only after the "Ice Saints" (mid-May); remember to harden them off for a few days first.
- Protection: We highly recommend a rain cover or tomato house to protect against late blight.
- Mulching: A layer of mulch is recommended to retain moisture and soil warmth.
