Bingenheimer Saatgut Spring Barley Pirona "Smoothie Grass"

Nutrient-rich barley is outstanding for preparing superfood smoothies and can be used in a variety of other creative ways in the kitchen. A member of the grass family (Poaceae), it can be cultivated both outdoors in garden beds or indoors on a sunny windowsill.

Our Tips:

• Coverage: The contents are sufficient for three 12 cm diameter containers.
• Pre-treatment: For faster results, soak the seeds in water overnight before sowing.
• Sowing: Spread the seeds densely across the soil surface and keep them consistently moist until they sprout.
• Harvesting: Harvest the barley grass when it reaches a height of 15 to 20 cm. At this stage, it is tender and sweet - perfect for adding to salads or blending into fresh smoothies.
