Lettuce Seeds
Lettuce requires little space and grows rapidly, and is therefore well suited for growing on balconies. Cultivating almost all varieties is straightforward, and your success should be visible after about 6 weeks. Not all lettuce tastes the same, the flavours range from sweet and earthy to hearty and bitter. Lettuce grows both in the sun and in partial shade. Due to the large leaf surface, lettuce must be well watered in summer. Many varieties can be planted as a "filler" between other vegetable crops and also can be planted in flower boxes. Good planting partners are radishes, tomatoes, spinach, beans or onions.
