Sonnenerde Urban Tree Fine Substrate - Bulk Bag, 1 item

The more trees a city has, the more pleasant its climate becomes. Trees make a vital contribution to quality of life in urban areas by providing cooling during summer and helping to manage large volumes of rainwater.

Sonnenerde Urban Tree Fine Substrate is suitable for an innovative tree planting method based on the Eggenberger Allee in Graz, using the Stockholm tree planting system. This method encourages vigorous, healthy growth and improves resistance to weather-related stress. It also reduces maintenance requirements and the number of trees lost after planting. Tree pits constructed using this system can be completely paved over.

Composition:
Sonnenerde Urban Tree Fine Substrate was developed on behalf of the City of Graz in collaboration with engineer Erwin Murer, with the aim of providing trees with a stable growing medium for at least 100 years. It consists of Urban Tree Concentrate and quartz sand mixed at a ratio of 1:4, creating a long-lasting substrate that supports healthy root development.

Bulk density: 1.25 tonnes/m³
