Bingenheimer Saatgut Squash "Patisson blanc"

This non-trailing variety produces flat, scalloped, cream-coloured fruits with a distinctive wavy or jagged edge. They offer a pleasantly mild flavour and, when harvested young, can be cooked whole with the skin on, just like a courgette.

Our Tips:

• Germination temperature: Above 22°C (rapid emergence is crucial for healthy development).
• Sowing: Sow directly outdoors from mid-May once the risk of frost has passed.
• Protect plants with horticultural fleece during chilly May nights if temperatures drop below 10°C.
• Top Tip: Do not prick out young plants; they prefer minimal root disturbance.
• Seedlings should not be "overgrown" or root-bound when planted out; the ideal time is when they have two to three true leaves.
• Typical fruit weight: 0.5 to 0.7 kg.
