Sonnenerde Compost - Bulk Bag, 1 item

This fully matured compost brings proven Sonnenerde quality to your garden. It combines very low salt and heavy metal levels with an exceptionally high nutrient content. Its high phosphorus content makes it particularly suitable for flower beds, perennial borders and flowering shrubs.

• Supports soil biology over the long term thanks to its high biological activity
• Increases the humus content of the soil
• Provides an effective, natural fertilising action
• Helps regulate soil moisture thanks to its excellent water retention capacity

Application:

• Fertilising lawns and ornamental plants: Apply 5–10 litres per m² to the soil surface.
• Planting trees and shrubs: Mix the compost with base soil at a ratio of 1:1. For a one-off application when establishing a new planting area, spread up to 10 cm of compost and thoroughly incorporate it into the topsoil, using a cultivator if necessary. No additional fertiliser is required.
• Do not use for vegetables (contains sewage sludge).
• Not suitable for ericaceous plants (high lime content).
• Never plant directly into pure compost!

Production:
Sonnenerde Compost is produced by mixing controlled, biologically stabilised sewage sludge, organic rock flour and green waste in precisely defined proportions. The mixture undergoes composting, followed by a soil-forming maturation process lasting 5 to 12 months.
