Who doesn't want a beautiful Christmas tree? People of all ages enjoy the wonderful smell of the fir tree. You may need to prepare your loved ones for the wait though, Christmas trees need about 7-8 years to grow from seed.

Contents:

• 5 Nordmann fir plant seeds (lat. Abies nordmanniana)
• 1 compostable coconut pot
• 1 coconut fibre starting pellet
• 1 planting guide

Cultivation:

• Pre-soak seeds in lukewarm water for about 12 hours
• Then store in an air-permeable bowl in the refrigerator for approx. 12 hours.
• Remove the seeds from the refrigerator and moisten with cold water. Make sure that no water remains in the bowl.
• Repeat the last process every two days.
• After about 3 to 5 weeks, the first white shoots will appear - the seedling can now be planted.
• To do this, dissolve the coconut swelling tablet in the coco pot with a little lukewarm water.
• Place a maximum of 2 seeds approx. 1 cm deep in the coco substrate.
• Place the coco pot in a sunny and warm spot.
• Fertilise for the first time when the plant is about 10 cm tall.

Additional information:

• When the plant is about 10 cm tall, it can be transplanted either into a pot or into the garden.
• Protect the tree from frost for the first few years.
• It takes about 7 years from cultivation to a stately Christmas tree (approx. 2 m).
