Description
This plant forms beautiful, velvety red flowers and numerous pods that are processed like peas and inspire with their asparagus-like taste.
Our tips:
- Germination temperature: from 8°C soil temperature, optimally 20°C
- Provide climbing support
- Sowing under foil or fleece is possible
- Low consumers - no nitrogen fertilisation and manure
- Keep moist, especially during the production of crops and flowers
- Normal basic fertilisation when preparing the soil is sufficient
- Process immediately after picking - after 2 to 3 days, the sugar is converted to starch and the peas become floury and bitter
- Versatile - for cooking or in salads, or for canning and freezing
