Description

The purple onion "Tropea Rossa Lunga" has a sweet taste and is also very easily digested. It can be used in many ways in the kitchen. Also eaten raw, whether with salads or on bread, it can score in terms of taste and appearance.

It is very low maintenance and only needs a little watering. Be careful not to let it overgrow.

Tip:
In its Calabrian hometown of Tropea, it is traditionally braided and dried for storage.
