About the plants:
- Gladioli belong to the Iridaceae family. They are originally from southern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Madagascar. The most colourful plants originated from South Africa.
- With a height of 1.5 m, gladioli can be quite large. They are evergreen, deciduous plants and are mainly used as ornaments.
